Hello forum!

I do not know italian, but I am so glad to have found a Super 8mm forum!
I am a filmmaker in Sweden that just loves working with Super 8. The first time I met Super 8 was when I was 14 years old, and got a Canon 514 from my school!
Since then I new what I wanted to do, and that was to make films on Super 8.

Today I own 3 Nalcom FTL 1000, with timelaps handles, and I am about to make my first serious short film ever, on Super 8!

If you want to join me on my quest to fullfill a dream I had since I was 14, please do at: http://igg.me/p/55924?a=335189

I will try to log in here and update you about the progress, otherwise you can follow my work at the link above.

And please, I need a lot of tips at filmfestivals for Super 8 films! :D Just tell me where those festivals are! :D

Long live Super 8 mm film!

Hi Pierre,
welcome on board both on the super8 world and on our forum.

Regarding festival, in Italy there's the Super8FilmFestival, usually around november and is organized by the same association that manages this forum.
For a rough idea, please have a look on the following websites:
www.milanocinema.it
www.super8filmfestival.it

Good luck for your project and, whenever you need help, just drop a line here!

Thank you so much for that tips! :D

I will really look into that festival and hopefully we can screen our film there when it is done.

Excited...
I am getting a bit nervous...

I have just sent two rolls of processing to pro8mm.com

2 rolls of Ektachrome 64T that I used to test my cameras, my Nalcom FTL 1000. Have no idea if they will work, but I am getting very excited about it!

Hi Pierre,

I'm also new to this forum and we've got the same vision of how to work in the near future.

As our websites at the regard are non-commercial sites I take the liberty to publish them here:

http://logliner.com
http://shootingfilm.org

We've got quite nice lighting and sound equipment (checkout the corresponding rubrics on the sites). Maybe we can help you with that ... or if you simply need some prosciutto and salame for your catering just drop me an e-mail: patrick@shootingfilm.org :-)

Best wishes for your project!

Patrick

Hello Patrick,

And thank for your answer. :)
It is always cool to meet new friends around the world with the same vision.
Your pages are really cool and I will look more into them.

No super 8 there though... :/

But we'll keep in touch! :D

Sad news.... :(

We had to cancel the shooting of my short film... We don't get enough funding...

So now I just have to focus on my documentary: Storms on Gotland, that will be shot on Super 8 and HDV.
