Sorry that this message is in English, I apologise that I do not speak Italian.
Dear Folgore,
I am an English (but my race is Chinese) player from London who has been playing ROME since the end of January, and in one of the first online games I have played, myself and a friend of mine in real life have played against your clan members.
You defeated us, but from the defeat, I have learnt so much about tactics and method of the game, since then, my success rate has greatly increased, I would like to say a big thank you.
Recently, I have seen some of the online games hosted by your clan which shown that you have your own map, which proved the dedication of your clan.
I understand, as an English player who does not speak Italian may not be welcome, but I would be really grateful if I could get involved with the activities of your clan, which I could learn from.
Here is a screenshot of the first time I met one of your clan members, and its the first week I have played RTW (below).
Please let me know if you could inculde English players with your games.
Thanks very much.

Hi Romeo,
just to clarify, I myself was born in Scotland and live there, but have Italian parentage. The main element of being a member of an Italian clan is the ability to speak Italian (better than making oneself understood, but then again I'll let others be the judge of my fluency) and, unfortunately, having Italian blood.
There is no problem whatsoever in joining LA FOLGORE (= lightning bolt) games to try to learn, but I don't think we will be able to share too much inside info with you both.
As a matter of compliment, you both did play fairly well for first timers. I believe I played 2 games against you, and although won both times, you both did a better job than most newbies. You are just lacking a bit of practice. Don't be put off by lots of Italians speaking Italian. If you ask you will generally be invited in. Also, don't be put off my what I like to refer to as "arrogant dickheads" who take the game a little bit on the serious side and consider themselves Gods of it. Some mothers do 'ave em!
Ave,
Cabronus
p.s. Caio Leio is a member of the LEONES clan, not of Clan Folgore! :-)

Thanks very much for your replies.
I am glad that you have left the option open for me which I could take place in some of your clan games, I am horned.
I am aware that this is an Italian clan and was not expecting to have the benefits of the inside knowledge from your clan. But I think I desire good quality of game play, tactics as well as sportsmanship, that’s why I feel attracted by a group of people who is passionate to the subject, something which I have not found since I have met the Lighting Bolt.
Interesting about your comment regarding to “dickheads”, as I seem to oftern respond to them, may be I just don’t know how to deal with them.

hi romeo, waiting for our clan leader's opinion, i want to say that having a non italian member in our clan could be an interesting thing, due to our different culture we could learn from each other, not only sharing knowledge of the gameplay, but also regard to our different cultures. Of course, there is a big problem, you don't speak italian, many of us don't speak your language( ah, sorry for my english, i hope you will understand this post

), but i think that we will find the way to communicate, Cabronus could translate the most interesting topics of the forum, for example

. Anyway, as i said before i'm not the clan leader, only iulius_jimi can speak for the clan, wait for him, he will give you the final answer to your interesting ( i think) proposal.

Ok Romeo, i will try to translate for you our leader's answer to your questions:
Welcome Romeo in our DOMUS, we thank you for your appreciation. We are a clan mainly composed by Italian people, we use to see the multiplayer game like a roleplay, we have got some career to play (military, diplomatic, and others) that I'm sure you will appreciate. If you want to join our party, we will create an English section of the forum to communicate with you.
You could begin with the title of Gladiatore (Gladiator of course), you will have the possibility both to improve your skills and take part to our enterprise, and if we will see substantial progresses, there will be a test to become Legionario (Legionary), that is permanent, regular member of the clan.
Let us know your answer.

There you go. You are free to join if you wish. Starting off as a gladiator is required for training to full legionaire status, which takes as long as it takes you to get good! You can add points to your respective careers whilst you train up to so when you do get your promotion, you get a bit of a bonus with it!
Let us know if you join!

Oh wow, this is wonderful! I was not expecting such a welcome that there would even be an English Fourm made just for us.
As a none Italian to received such kindness and welcome, I am really honoured.
I would be gladly to accept the title within La Fologore, to become the possible first foreign member of your clan.
I have also spoken to my friend, “Spike Biscuits”, regarding to our communication from yesterday, he seemed very excited and I will try to connect him to have a direct communication with this fourm.
I am going to India tomorrow for a week, so I will not be able to play ROME during this time, but I will certainly try to check on the internet (if they have one) to see if there is anything I need to know.
My MSN and email is as follow: romeo_longsword@hotmail.com
Thanks very much.

Hey Dominus!
Yes I really enjoyed the speed of the game, and the communication was really good.
I sure am looking forward to play more.
But as I have said, I am going to India tomorrow for a week, so it has to be the end of next week until we play again.
There is so much I need to learn though, so I would love to play more.
Thank you!

Ok guys, I am trying to learn some useful Italian, so far, I have learnt the following words:
att' attacco (attack)
attaccate compagni (attack my brothers)
aspetta (hold)
attacca lo stesso obiettivo (attack the same target)
Would any of you have any suggestion?
Ave.
