For Teresa
I have written you a message (two in fact) in reply to your warm welcome but for some reason they vanished the moment I sent it off. I will email you privately although I do not know if you still have the same email address.

Pope suffers injury after fall

Media reports this morning say Papa suffered a fall and was taken to the emergency room of Aosta hospital. There are conflicting reports as to the injuries he suffered. Some say he may have broken his wrist, others speak of an injury to his ankle.

Our prayers are with you dearest Papa!

Deo gratias! Thank the Lord it wasn't anything serious!

Pope slips and has a slight fracture
of the right wrist

VATICAN CITY, July 17 (Translated from ASCA) - "After falling down in his own room last night" at his summer residence in Les Combes where he is on vacation, Pope Benedict XVI "suffered a slight fracture of the right wrist", according to Fr. Federico Lombardi, Vatican press director.

"The Holy Father," he said, "nonetheless celebrated Mass and had breakfast, after which he was taken to the hospital in Aosta where the fracture was diagnosed and the wrist was immobilized" [Probably placed in a cast. And a slight fracture may mean he did not actually break any bone, but a wristbone could have shown some damage like a hairline crack on X-ray.].

Pray, pray!!!!
www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/italy/5849172/Pope-Benedict-XVI-taken-to-hospital-after-breaking-wr...

Thank you benevolens and Teresa, for the swiftness of your reporting. I heard the news on BBC News 24 about an hour ago. Above is a link to the Telegraph's news item.

Hail Mary, full of grace
The Lord is with thee
Blessed art thou among women
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus
Holy Mary
Mother of God
Pray for us sinners
Now and at the hour of our death
Amen

Hey, People!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why don't we get the Chatter thread going again, rather like the Kreativbereich one in the German section? I seem to have been talking to myself there all this week.

Think about it and letta me know. OK!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good idea, Mary

Things have been a bit dull on the forum lately. Since the Chatter Thread can be used for any topic or pic, not necessarily Papa-related, surely somebody can think of something of interest to post there.

Why not music that currently moves us? There are so many topics. I feel that those of us who don't correspond with each other by e-mail can easily reach everyone by writing on this thread.

At the moment I'd like to call up Marketka from where ever she is and ask her if she's prepared herself for Papa's visit to Prague!!!!!! Marketka: are you there or are you already in orbit??!!!!!

benefan, where are you??????
Calling benefan!!!!! You haven't posted any news since 11th October. Are you all right? Are you ill?

I'll e-mail benefan later this evening and possibly leave a message for Teresa on the other side.

Still alive!

Hey, Mary, thanks for the concern. I have not been able to post lately because of a flurry of family activities. My daughter and her new husband (married in May) decided to move to Louisiana from Florida. I have been doing a lot of prep work for that and we all just moved them in to their apartment yesterday. All my kids have been in and out of our house this week dealing with the move (strangely, mostly at mealtimes).

Also, my daughter is now 6 or 7 weeks pregnant so doctor's visits had to be set up. I think my life is going to be a lot more hectic from now on. However, I do expect to get back in the habit of posting on the forum again. Can't help myself, especially with all those gorgeous photos benevolens just posted.

Dear benefan,
Congratulations to your daughter and her husband on being blessed with new life so quickly. May God be with them both and their baby!

I was just worried in case Bob was worse - as we have had similar experiences.

Hoping you'll be posting again soon!!!!!!

Much love and many prayers from Mary and, I'm sure, from all of us

This IS a begging letter!
To all members who continue to look at the forum, I'm now begging you to contribute posts - PLEASE! Benefan and I know you are there and long to hear from you all. We must keep our forum going, because it's lively and we tend to post short items with our own news and opinions, as well as being able to read the longer news items, which benefan continues to post regularly.

Come home, please!!!!!

About Linda Papabear
Dear Everyone!
I've just had an e-mail from Linda. She is well, but has had problems with her internet provider. She's back online now, but again she can't access the forum to post. So she'll have to re-register. I'm going to reply to her e-mail in a minute.

Luff to all!
Mary xxx

Oh, no!

I was afraid something had happened with PapaBear's connection to the forum since we haven't heard from her in ages. I don't know if re-registering will work. Last time, she was able to get through most of the registration process until the last step and then I had to ask Paparatzifan to get her in but Paparatzifan said afterward that she won't be helping with our forum any more. Sihaya was acting as admin to the Italian forum but told me that she wasn't able to help with registration problems. So I don't know how to get PapaBear back in.

This is also the reason why new people haven't been able to join the forum. There is nobody available to accept their registration. I wish I could understand Italian. I would try to write to whoever administers Freeforumzone.it and see if we could get some help with this.

Mary, can you give Linda my personal email address? Thanks for letting us know about her situation.

Thank you to friends who acknowledged or replied to the e-mail I sent to many of you last night. Hope it bears fruit.

Flo: Your e-mail address wouldn't work, for some reason, but I didn't really need to write to you, because you still post regularly.
