Finalmente le nostre si impossessano del bowl of the winds. Peccato che la cosa richieda una battaglia che costa la vita ad alcune donne del kin e vari uomini di mat, tra cui nalesean.Ehi, qui da zio JoJo è morto qualcuno.... Tra i cattivi una nuova creatura, il gholam. Dotato di forza sovrumana non influenzabile dall'Unico Potere. Solo il medaglione di mat sembra poterlo fermare. Vediamo se saltano fuori critiche da deus ex per sta cosa ---------------------------------------

Nalesean mica conta, troppo poco importante! deve morire almeno Lan per farli felici...

E pensare che a me e' dispiaciuto anche per il povero Nalesean non ha neanche il tempo di rendersene conto, ma del resto l' arrivo del gholam un po' di timore reverenziale lo doveva pur mettere in chi legge ,in un modo o in un altro. ---------------------------------------------

 a me è spiaciuto un casino per nalesean mi stava simpatico.....
cmq... finalmente vedo cos'è sto gholam di cui si era parlato anche per spiegare la morte di asmodean... beh è possibile anche se la teoria di pevin avanzata da qualcuno (forse aquila  ) mi piace di più...

Troppo figo il Gholam...
tra l'altro viene citato per la prima volta all'inizio del Libro 6 tra le varie creazioni di Asmodean...
nel capitolo successivo Birgitte indica a Mat alcune cose sui Gholam...
la parola Gholam ricorda troppo Golem...
vero???

si, sicuramente è voluta.
I golem erano innarestabile, per chi non ne conoscesse il segreto.
Il gholam pare pure più pericoloso.

Alludi al fatto che bisogna cancellare una lettera dalla fronte per arrestarlo definitivamente???
Io non mi ci arrischierei con un essere che ti stronca con un pugno solo, anche se sapessi quello che devo fare...
Magari i gholam sono attivati con una parola d'ordine... anche se essendo dotati di pensiero proprio potrebbero non richiederla...
in ogni caso sono decisamente pericolosi... non sappiamo però se sono immuni all'incanalare degli uomini... il medaglione di Mat per esempio non lo è (vedi finale con Rahvin)...

L'unica cosa che mi rende contento, è che magari quando il problema gohlam si farà ancora più serio, spero che rivedremo gli uomini volpe, che come ho più volte detto, sono più che ansioso di rincontrare...
Per quanto riguarda la morte di Asmodean, sono sempre più convinto che sia stato Demandred. ----------------------------------------

Cmq non era Asmodean il creatore dei Gholam cosi come di tutte le altre creature chiamate progenie dell'ombra , il "genio" creatore era Aginor come dice Graendal nel libro 6 ,quindi niente di tutto questo getta luce sulla morte del buon vecchio Asmo... 
Anche se Demandred è in effetti un ottimo candidato...
Seconda cosa il medaglione di Mat lo rende immune anche a Saidin almeno a giudicare da come lo guarda halima nel libro 6 durante i festeggiamenti x la nuova Amyrlin. ---------------------------------------------

Che bel capitolo, davvero ricco di azione.
Mi spiace però tanto per Nalesean, morto in modo cosi improvviso...
E poi Mat che continua a ripetere: "Era meglio se lo lasciavo a dormire...". Struggente
La comparsa del Gholam è strepitosa, una vera macchina di morte inarrestabile.
Solo una cosa non mi è chiara: alla fine del capitolo, il gholam è fuggito oppure si è polverizzato? Non sono riuscito a coglierlo Odierò l'uomo d te scelto perchè non sarò io, e lo amerò se ti farà sorridere |

micro spoiler sul Gholam E' fuggito infilandosi in un piccolo pertugio nel muro mi pare,

interessante come l'unica cosa che danneggia il Gholam è il medaglione di Mat, forse per una sorta di affinità(l'insensibilità al potere)?
peccato per Nalesean, mi stava simpatico. E quando il Sangue fu versato sul terreno dove nulla poteva crescere, i Figli del Drago si sollevarono, il Popolo del Drago, amato per danzare con la morte.
Lui li ha chiamati a farsi avanti dalla terre deserte e loro hanno fatto tremare il Mondo con la battaglia. |

Mat si confronta con il gholam e riesce a cacciarlo grazie al medaglione. Almeno si è scoperto che la creatura ha un punto debole.
Per il resto la narrazione di RJ è come al solito mozzafiato, ma questo è ormai un dato di fatto dopo 7 libri

il balefire per quanto complessa è una tessitura come le altre, e attorno al gholam come
al medaglione di Mat hanno il brutto vizio si sfilacciarsi...
Il gholam è come il T1000 fatto col materiale del medaglione di Mat.

mmmhh...però il medaglione di mat, pur donandogli immunità da saidar e saidin( si capisce dalla faccia di "Halima" durante i festeggiamenti per l elezione di egwene) non lo protegge da ciò che viene creato col potere...come per esempio i fulmini di Rhavin...che ne dici Drago? Sbaglio o il fatto che quella cosa sia un gholam non venga citato in questo capitolo?
Comunque, per Nealsan mi spiace, alla fine era simpatico.
Il Gholam è scappato, una Sorella nera, presa, ma l'altra?
E come facevano a trovarsi in quel magazzino.
Nei capitoli precedenti si capisce che le due Nere hanno cercato il magazzino per qualche anno, senza trovarlo, e ora appaiono proprio lì...
Hanno seguito i nostri eroi o è qualcosa che mi sono perso con l'inglese?
O è stata Moghedien, in qualche modo?
Comunque proprio un bel capitolo!

Le sorelle nere appaiono, davanti al magazzino, senza preavviso. Si è liberi di interpretare come ci siano arrivate.
Grande capitolo, probabilmente uno dei migliori. Il Gholam (si scopre cos'è il capitolo dopo) fa paura, soprattutto quando rompe il collo alla donna del Kin. Peccato per Nalesan, mi piaceva un sacco. Forza Mat, vendicalo.  -------------

non so se ridere o se piangere, ho visto l'edizione in italiano, indovinate un po'.... Questo capitolo l'hanno intitolato..."Sei Storie"!!!!
mah...non so nei libri precedenti come traducevano i piani del palazzo...ma noi che abbiamo seguito appassionatamente la storia sappiamo bene il significato della parole "Stories" e i battibecchi tra Nyn ed Elayne sul numero dei piani dell'edificio, possibile che la Ciocci abbia il cervello così a compartimenti stagni?
io credo che se si vuol fare la traduttrice deve perlomeno piacerti un po' quel che stai traducendo altrimenti...in fondo non è un libro tecnico, è pur sempre letteratura...un minimo di impegno intellettuale ce lo devi mettere, mica tradotto un tot a spanna senza ragionarci sopra [Modificato da -kay- 04/12/2006 12.54] ---------------------------------------
